    Mein Schatz!

    What fun you’ve been having!
    From meeting that Beauteous Beastie Koringkriek as he plays his part in the Circle of Life to rolling from one coffee shop to the next eatery! – there should be discount cards for people like you;
    African Special – Free food and coffee after every 10th meal: as MUCH as you can eat!

    And then there are the Beauty Treatments; Naked Jaunts Under the Namibian Sun – charming all the tourists;
    Beautiful Vistas; Cheese Platters – ah well, somebody has to do it. Did you know that the rest of us are grafting away at the daily grind? – such a joy!
    As for your “misplaced helmet visor” – scandalous! I wouldn’t worry, tho’, you still look like The African Queen.

    Nostalgia has gone up a few notches, this end, seeing your brilliant pictures of Windhoek-the-Beautiful and the Marvellous Namib!
    I’ll miss this blog and in the interim I’ll enjoy all the precious moments while they last – so staying tuned!xxx

      Great to hear from you as always. I’ll still need to do some video editing after Cape Town, so the blog will continue for some more time with video uploads, hopefully . . . Thanks also for sharing that video link (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m8_K9O52DrM&feature=em-share_video_user)—how fitting! 🙂

LET ME HELP YOU EXPLORE AFRICA

I found my purpose while cycling through Africa: To help you too experience the beauty of this continent and the warmth of its people – safely and responsibly.

At Fair Voyage, we partner with local sustainability leaders to curate socially and environmentally responsible travel experiences. You get personal travel advice directly from local experts and tailor-made trips crafted just for you. Tell us your trip ideas to speak to your advisor today.

Before cycling through Africa, I climbed Mount Kilimanjaro, became aware of the exploitation of porters working on the mountain, and wrote the book Kilimanjaro Uncovered.

Appalled by the continuing exploitation of human life in travel, I partnered with the Kilimanjaro Porters Assistance Project (KPAP) and volunteered with them as advisor and board member to help make a difference.

At Fair Voyage, we treat our porters fairly, which also leads to a safer and more enjoyable experience for our travelers. See what our travelers say.
